Introduction In the squat exercise, consciousness in pushing with the heel was expected to activate the hip and knee extensors effectively. Restricting the ankle motion by pushing with the heel decreased the ankle moment, which would increase the hip and knee joint moment. The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of consciousness in the heel and front of foot pushing technique on lower limb joint kinetics in squat.
