Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between IL-10 and NO levels on the severity and outcome of acute ischemic stroke patients. Material and Methods: This research was conducted on acute ischemic stroke patients at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar and Teaching Network Hospitals in January-March 2024. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) was used to determine the severity of the stroke and clinical outcomes were assessed using the Modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Additionally, the levels of IL-10 and NO were examined. The serum samples were quantified using an ELISA kit. The data were analyzed using the independent sample t-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Kruskal-Wallis test utilizing the SPSS 25 software. Results: These results were collected from 66 stroke patients and 22 controls. The results showed that serum IL-10 and NO levels did not differ between ischemic stroke patients and controls (p > 0.05). Serum IL-10 and NO levels did not differ significantly based on changes in the severity and clinical outcome of ischemic stroke (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Thus, serum IL-10 and NO levels are not related to changes in the severity and clinical outcome of ischemic stroke.
