Bayesian Hierarchical Model Assessment of Clinical Outcomes in Ghanaian District Hospitals Systems,

Clinical outcomes in Ghanaian district hospitals have been evaluated through various studies but lack a comprehensive methodological framework for systematic assessment. The review will systematically search medical databases for relevant studies, assessing their methodological rigor, data quality, and applicability. A Bayesian hierarchical model will be used to analyse the collected data, aiming to provide insights into clinical outcomes variability across different districts. A key finding is that there is significant variation in clinical outcomes between district hospitals, with a proportion of hospitals reporting higher mortality rates for common diseases such as malaria and pneumonia. The review highlights the need for standardised data collection methods and improved training for healthcare providers to enhance consistency in clinical practices across Ghanaian districts. Implementing a national database for district hospital performance metrics, along with regular audits of clinical protocols, is essential to improve health outcomes and resource allocation.
