District hospitals in Uganda play a crucial role in healthcare delivery, yet their performance varies significantly across different districts. The study employed DID models to analyse yield improvements in district hospitals, comparing pre- and post-intervention periods. Data from multiple districts were analysed using robust standard errors to account for potential confounders. A significant proportion (60%) of district hospitals showed positive yield improvement after implementing new interventions, with variations across regions. The DID models provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of interventions in improving hospital performance, contributing to evidence-based policy recommendations. Further research should focus on replicating these findings and exploring long-term effects of interventions.
