In the context of rising energy prices and increasingly stringent environmental requirements, energy efficiency is becoming a key factor in the sustainable development of transport enterprises. Transport enterprises with various core activities need to modernize their technical base (update their rolling stock) at the system level, taking into account the specifics of the industry, specific enterprises, the specifics of their operational activities, and apply modern technological solutions aimed at improving the energy efficiency of their core and non-core activities. In the long term, this is also intended to ensure increased overall energy security in the transport industry and the country's economy as a whole. Particular attention should be paid to such technological solutions as new-generation fuel and energy plants, hybrid and electric engines. Modern approaches to reducing costs and increasing resource efficiency are considered, and practical ways of integrating such solutions into the production processes of domestic transport companies are proposed.
