High quantum yield NIR emission via charge transfer states in buckybowl-TPA based D–A systems

Abstract

TPA-TOS shows strong solvent-dependent emission: weak, fast-decaying fluorescence in acetonitrile but intense NIR emission in hexane. In nonpolar media, efficient NIR luminescence ( Φ > 0.66) arises from combined TADF and RTP.
