The reconstruction of the physics signal due to the decay of K*(892)0 and its antiparticle into Kπ in pp collisions at the energetic regime planned for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been investigated by a full simulation carried out within the environment of the ALICE detector. The event mixing technique was used to evaluate the combinatorial background. The role of particle identification of the decay products is discussed. Detection efficiency and statistical significance are reported.
