Community health centres (CHCs) in South Africa play a crucial role in primary healthcare delivery. However, their adoption rates vary among different regions and time periods. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies. Studies were evaluated based on their methodology and whether they utilised DiD models for assessing adoption rates. One study found that the introduction of DiD models significantly improved the accuracy in measuring CHC adoption rates across different regions, with a higher adoption rate observed in urban areas compared to rural ones (25% vs. 18%). The use of DiD models enhances the reliability and comparability of adoption rate measurements among various CHCs. Further research should explore longitudinal studies that incorporate multiple DiD model applications to validate these findings across different time periods. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
