This work presents a comprehensive alternative framework for modern physics, proposing that the major unsolved problems of cosmology and quantum mechanics—dark matter, dark energy, quantum non-locality, wave-particle duality, the arrow of time, and the incompatibility between General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics—are not separate puzzles but manifestations of a single foundational error: treating spacetime as empty nothingness rather than as a structured, elastic, layered medium. CORE PROPOSAL: We propose a concentric layered elastic spacetime model. Spacetime possesses density (ρ) and elastic modulus (K), making light speed an emergent property: c = √(K/ρ). The universe consists of hierarchical concentric layers originating from the Big Bang as expanding spherical wavefronts, with inter-layer ratio ≈ 2.4 (empirically derived from dark energy observations). Particles are standing waves—localized compressions in the elastic medium.
