Digital Equity in Rural Africa: A Theoretical Framework on Digital Inclusion and the Digital Divide in Morocco

This theoretical framework explores digital inclusion and the digital divide in rural African communities of Morocco, focusing on the period No empirical data was collected; instead, a systematic review of existing literature on digital equity in Morocco will be used as the basis for developing the theoretical framework. This framework underscores the need for targeted interventions to bridge the digital divide and enhance digital inclusion in Moroccan rural communities. Policy recommendations include increasing broadband infrastructure investment in underserved regions, providing free or subsidized internet access programmes, and promoting digital literacy initiatives among rural populations.
