This essay develops architecture as the support layer within a system of ten interdependent fields. Knowledge is treated as a structure that must support its own weight over time. Concepts function as structural elements, publications as joints, and platforms as infrastructure. In relation to the other fields, architecture supports linguistic structure, provides the framework for protocol execution, stabilises validated knowledge, materialises systemic regulation, structures territorial distribution, supports media mediation, enables morphogenetic expansion, supports movement and circulation, and ultimately becomes integrated within infrastructure. Architecture therefore provides the structural stability necessary for long-term persistence.
