Recently, the rapid aging of the population has led to a super-aged society, leading to an increase in the proportion of the elderly population. This phenomenon has led to significant social problems, including rising medical and long-term care costs for the elderly, depletion of pension funds, an increase in the number of people requiring welfare services, and the growing social costs of managing the elderly. In particular, the rapid growth of the elderly population aged 65 and older in Korea has led to a rise in single-person households. Elderly individuals living alone often lack systematic and consistent health and lifestyle management, resulting in a significant decline in their quality of life in later life. Therefore, this study aims to identify the lifestyle characteristics and challenges associated with daily life management in older age and propose practical and regular solutions for daily life management that older adults can implement on their own, utilizing available smart technologies, to promote healthy and active lives.
