The article explores the mechanisms of information dissemination in social networks and analyzes their impact on shaping the political agenda. The authors examine the dual nature of the internet and social media as communication platforms and information sources, while also analyzing the risks associated with spreading harmful information. The article highlights the growing role of social networks in modern social interactions, their interactive characteristics, and their significance in the context of political activity. Special emphasis is placed on the two-way exchange of information between political actors and the electorate and the transparency of this process. Examples of modern political platforms, such as APSA, are provided, and the possibility of their influence on users' perception of information credibility is emphasized. As a result, the article offers a comprehensive analysis of the current state of social networks in the context of political communication and forecasts the development of specialized political social platforms.
