The purpose of this experiment is to create a circulating system that uses the redox reaction between zinc and water to generate hydrogen. The Ellingham diagram shows that the reduction of metal oxides depends on temperature and oxygen partial pressure. Experimental results confirmed that the reduction rate depends on temperature. Comparing stainless steel and quartz tubes, the reduction rate of quartz tubes was found to be better than that of stainless-steel tubes in all temperature ranges. It was found that the reduction was better when the samples were mixed due to the contact reaction.
