This study explores the educational effects of a pre-internship learning program aimed at deepening students’ understanding of local industries and enhancing their engagement during internships. While internships offer valuable hands-on learning, many focus narrowly on a single company, limiting students' ability to grasp broader industrial and societal contexts. To address this, a pre-internship program was implemented for 11 second-year students in Niigata University’s Collaborative Management Program. The program combined lectures with company visits, encouraging students to learn about each firm’s role within the regional industrial structure and to identify their own areas of interest.
