Western sanctions policies against the Russian Federation have led to increased ties between our country and Asian countries, including in the natural gas market. By the end of 2028, Chinas gas consumption is expected to overtake that of Europe (including Turkey), once the key market for Russian pipeline gas. By 2050, total gas demand in Asia will grow by 1.3-1.8 times, including 1.3-1.5 times in China. The main growth drivers will be government policy to replace coal with gas, government incentives to increase the share of gas as a motor fuel, favorable macroeconomic factors, including relatively high GDP growth rates, and a decline in poverty in low- and middle-income countries. The research focuses on the transformation of Russias foreign economic activity in the Asian market.
