Sirolimus has been identified as an effective medication in patients of all ages diagnosed with various vascular anomalies. Although the medication’s safety and efficacy have been well published in the last decade, the effect of sirolimus on growth parameters (height and weight) has not been thoroughly analyzed. We performed a retrospective chart review over a large cohort of patients with vascular anomalies treated at our center. We found that sirolimus does not adversely affect growth in patients on consistent and long-term use of sirolimus when controlled for age and gender.
