The paper presents the results of lidar studies of the stratospheric disturbances over Tomsk in the 2024/2025 winter season in the form of stratospheric warming and the occurrence of polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs). No effect of stratospheric clouds on the decrease in ozone concentration was detected. The presumed cause is the short-term presence of a cloud or the fact the cloud comprised of type II particles, which are ice crystals that are less significant for chemical processes of ozone destruction as compared to type I particles.
