This study investigates the impact of thermal misbalance on the observational characteristics of slow MHD waves detected by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) aboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) in solar coronal loops. An analytical expression has been derived, linking the AIA response to the wave density amplitude. The amplitude and phase variations between the instrument’s response and the density perturbation caused by thermal misbalance have been determined for each AIA channel, depending on plasma temperature and thermal misbalance parameters. The results have been validated by numerical simulations of slow MHD waves in the plasma slab followed by modeling of the AIA response in the AMRVAC code.
