This case report describes the discovery and forensic analysis of two-dimensional bloody footwear impressions that were fixed to ceramic tile by high temperatures from a fire. This is the first documented case of its kind in Chile. The impressions, initially latent beneath debris, were successfully recovered and compared to the suspect's shoes, leading to a positive identification.
