Traditional clothing is considered a national treasure that must be preserved to ensure its continuity for future generations, as it represents a form of national identity. It is a type of artistic creation shaped within the framework of prevailing traditions and social values of a specific environment and community. Its components were shaped by the knowledge, skills, and economic capabilities available to individuals and have been passed down through generations. This research aimed to study the characteristics of traditional women’s clothing in Bisha Governorate and to create contemporary designs for women’s outerwear inspired by the structural and aesthetic elements of these traditional garments. It also aimed to explore the level of acceptance of the proposed designs among specialists and consumers, and to implement one of the proposed designs, which received the highest acceptance rating from the research sample. The research adopted the descriptive-analytical method alongside the applied study. The results led to the documentation of traditional women’s clothing in Bisha Province. Additionally, the researcher created twelve designs for women’s outerwear using CLO 3D software, employing heritage elements in a contemporary manner. Survey results confirmed a high level of acceptance from both specialists and consumers, with design number 5 ranking highest for its successful balance between heritage identity and modern fashion trends.
