Abstract: Against the backdrop of accelerating global population aging, establishing an evidence-based, humanistic, and intelligent disciplinary system for geriatric nursing has become a critical challenge demanding urgent attention. Geriatric Nursing (ISSN 3105-658X / 3105-6598), a gold open access (Gold OA) bilingual academic journal published by Macau Sino-Foreign Medical Publishing Limited, focuses on the health needs of the elderly and innovations in nursing science. Committed to addressing global aging challenges, the journal prioritizes cutting-edge areas including integrated care strategies for geriatric syndromes, optimization of multi-level long-term care service systems, technology innovations for aging adaptation, and interdisciplinary collaboration models. This paper systematically elaborates on the journal’s core positioning, scope of contributions, publishing model, open access policy, global database coverage, and vision for building an academic community. It aims to provide clear submission guidelines for researchers, clinical practitioners, and policymakers in geriatric nursing and related interdisciplinary fields, while extending a sincere invitation to scholars worldwide to jointly promote the transformation of geriatric nursing from traditional experience-based care to an evidence-based, humanistic, and intelligent scientific paradigm.
