The author of this article analyses the influence of Communist International on the main areas of activity of women’s organization of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB) in 1929. The article is mainly based on the unpublished archival sources. Recommendations of the Comintern to direct the activity of the women’ organization of the CPGB on conquering women- factory workers were not carried out. The communists also could not increase their influence among workless women, members of trade-unions, Women cooperative Guild, Women sections of the Labour Party. The main causes of these were weakness of the entire Communist Party and especially of its women’s unites, virtually lack of detailed programme, orientated on women, the lack of proper support of the Central women’s department from the side of the leadership of the party and also the absence of firm contacts of women-communists with women from factories and plants.
