Check dams play a significant role in sustainable water management, especially in drought-prone and semi-arid regions. This research investigates the impact of check dams on groundwater recharge, soil moisture enhancement, and agricultural production. Field observations, hydrological information, and community surveys were used to assess how check dams influence local water availability and crop yield. The study found that check dams reduce surface runoff, increase infiltration, and help stabilize soil, which collectively improve groundwater levels and support year-round farming activities. check dams contribute to controlling soil erosion and preventing land degradation. Overall, the research concludes that check dams are a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable solution for improving water security and boosting agricultural development in rural areas.
