The In-situ Data Strategy aims to provide a framework for GEO that addresses the specific challenges associated with the acquisition and use of in-situ measurements and observations. It also provides a set of objectives, and potential roles that will enhance integration of all forms of EO data to support GEO's ongoing mission. Building on a significant body of work by GEO Members spanning several years, this document responds to the need for an In-Situ Data Strategy that has been acknowledged within successive GEO Ministerial Declarations e.g. Canberra Declaration (2019).
