This thesis discusses the portrayal of female characters and the depiction of their inner psychology in the dramatic works of Usmon Azim, one of the prominent representatives of contemporary Uzbek literature. The drama "A Single Step" (Bir qadam yo‘l) has been selected as the primary object of analysis.
