A geophysical (magnetometer) survey was undertaken on approximately 3 hectares of land located to the north and south of Wykham Lane, Banbury, Oxfordshire. Anomalies of a possible archaeological origin have been detected including pits, field systems, and a possible ring ditch. Medieval ridge and furrow cultivation have also been detected along with former field boundaries and modern ploughing. Geological responses can be seen throughout. Ferrous material and a service pipe have been detected within the dataset. Based on this survey, the archaeological potential of this site is considered to be moderate to high in the centre and north of the site. In comparison, no anomalies of archaeological potential were identified in the south of the site.
