Traditional and New in the Value Orientations of Russian Youth: Results of the Expert Survey

The article is aimed at identifying the peculiarities of the influence of national political and cultural traditions and modern global socio-cultural trends on the value orientations of modern Russian youth. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is a political-psychological approach that allows studying the political values of young people taking into account the political context, socio-cultural and psychological factors of their formation and transformation. The empirical basis of the work was the results of an expert survey. As a result, it can be argued that a contradictory set of political values is inherent in modern Russian youth, where values that are historically not characteristic of Russian society are present, and traditional values are filled with a new meaning in the minds of young people.
