First person – Xiang Cui

First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Xiang Cui is first author on ‘ Golgi disintegration and functional disruption during paraptosis’, published in JCS. Xiang conducted the research described in this article at The First Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University, China, in collaboration with Min Cui. She is currently an Associate Professor at The First Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University, where she investigates mechanisms of non-apoptotic cell death and their applications in cancer and regenerative medicine.
