Marital disruption among the three largest Hispanic populations in the United States is analyzed. The focus of the study is a comparison between the low levels of marital disruption observed among Mexican Americans and indicators for other Hispanic populations. The results indicate substantial diversity among the Hispanic populations observed with regard to marital stability and instability. The importance of socioeconomic factors is emphasized.
