This book continues to be one of the most outstanding in the world on the subject of tropical disease. It is a complete single volume concerned with tropical medicine, but, like all single volumes, it is not truly encyclopedic. This thirteenth edition has been brought up to date to include the new antibiotic drugs and the experiences obtained during World War II. This book is highly recommended to students of tropical medicine, especially those interested in the British points of view.
