The article is devoted to anthropological issues in Islam. Based on the study of Muslim theological literature, the following issues are addressed: the sources of Muslim anthropology; the creation of Adam and Eve; the creation of the souls of humanity; the duties of a person as a caliph; the concepts of «nafs» and «rukh»; the spiritual and physical health of a person; and the types of worship. The article concludes that the meaning of human life is defined as the knowledge of the Almighty and the worship of Him, in order to achieve paradise bliss and salvation after earthly life.
