This study delves into the intricate dance between profession and uncertainty, as experienced by young Chinese Gen-Z women embarking on a journey into the realm of programming. Utilizing qualitative methodologies, including semi-structured interviews and digital ethnography, this research unravels how structural uncertainties—rooted in economic, political, and familial dynamics—shape their career trajectories.
