In dogs with intact hearts, Rb 86 clearance was homogeneous in the left ventricle and septum, but generally lower in the right ventricle except at the apex.
The regional distribution of myocardial clearances of Rb 86 has been determined in dogs with intact coronary circulation, as well as in those with acute occlusions of the anterior descending or right coronary artery. In the intact heart, the Rb 86 clearance was rather homogeneous throughout the left ventricle and interventricular septum. The Rb 86 clearance for most of the right ventricle was less than that for the left ventricle. At the apex of the right ventricle, however, the clearance was greater and was quite variable from experiment to experiment.
Chansky et al. (Sat,) conducted a other in Acute coronary occlusion. Acute occlusions of the anterior descending or right coronary artery vs. Intact coronary circulation was evaluated on Regional distribution of myocardial clearances of Rb 86. In dogs with intact hearts, Rb 86 clearance was homogeneous in the left ventricle and septum, but generally lower in the right ventricle except at the apex.
