It is widely recognized that building and managing diverse workforces offer numerous benefits ranging from nurturing creativity and innovation, better decision making, increased employee productivity, and retention. Companies with diverse workforces enjoy a competitive advantage over others. Research has shown that despite the obvious benefits of diverse workforce, companies have failed their diversity agenda. The purpose of this chapter is to provide insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion by eliminating any conscious and unconscious bias during the hiring process. Findings suggest that in the context of talent acquisition, the use of AI is increasingly important for building a diverse workforce. It also reveals future directions for companies and diversity practitioners that AI-driven hiring can address their diversity concerns.
