Objective To explore the effect of music intervention on the depression mental of postoperative chemotherapy interval patients with breast cancer. Methods Totals of 60 breast cancer patients in post-operative chemotherapy interval were selected and were randomly divided into control group and intervention group.Control group patients received routine nursing and intervention group received music intervention based on routine nursing care, before and after intervention, all patients were investigated with depression self-rating scale(SDS) and the effect of music intervention was analysed. Results There was no difference about depression incidence and score of SDS in two groups before intervention ( P > 0.05 ).After intervention, the ration of depression was 23.33% and the score of SDS was ( 35.60 ± 5.62) in intervention group, lower than control group, which depression ration was 83.33%,and SDS score was(42.87 ±6.34),and the difference was statistically significant (x2=21.90,t=-3.8 ;P < 0.01 ).No difference was found in control group about the score of SDS before and after intervention ( P > 0.05 ),while significantly difference was found in intervention group ( t=- 8.3,P < 0.01 ).Conclusions Music intervention can significantly improve depression mental of post-operative chemotherapy interval patients with breast cancer.
