ABSTRACT: In the high-pressure environment of healthcare, nurses may carry emotional, spiritual, and physical burdens. Although nurses are trained to assess and care for the needs of patients, they can neglect self-assessment and self-care, leading to over-extension, compassion fatigue, spiritual depletion, and burnout. Sustainable caregiving requires a shift from task-oriented performance to Christ-centered presence. Self-compassion and spiritual renewal are essential to thriving in ministry and clinical practice and avoiding burnout.
