This project assesses the suitability of the building for listing. It is concluded that the building does not meet the criteria for listing. In addition, the local planning authority has identified the building as being a clear detractor from the character and appearance of the conservation area. The demolition of the building will therefore be beneficial to historic and architectural character of the conservation area. There is public benefit from the provision of social housing.
