Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) make a significant contribution to job creation, investment, entrepreneurship promotion, and the growth of industrial production and exports. Therefore, their role in India's economic development is considered crucial. In Maharashtra's Satara district, the contribution of micro, small, and medium enterprises is particularly significant. Agriculture is the main occupation in Satara district, and it plays a vital role in the district's development. Alongside agriculture, the contribution of MSMEs is also important. These businesses have played a key role in job creation, investment, and export growth. The objective of this research paper is to study employment generation, investment, the financial status of MSMEs in Satara district, and the future challenges faced by these industries. This study is based on secondary data from government reports and the District Industries Centre. The findings of this study indicate that MSMEs in Satara district have contributed to increased employment generation, increased investment, and overall development of the district. In short, these industries have underscored their importance in the development of Satara district. However, limitations in investment, imbalances in financing, technological backwardness, limitations in buying and selling, and local difficulties restrict the growth and development of these industries. The researcher has suggested measures to overcome these problems and mitigate the future challenges faced by these industries.
