Aim. To elucidate the epistemic value of the linguo-axiological delimitation of a cultural-linguistic community presented as a complex discursive model. Methodology. The linguocultural method predominates in the study. The procedures of critical discourse analysis and linguolimoligical analysis were used, as well as synchronic comparison of the linguocultural phenomena. Special techniques of sociolinguistic and linguostylistic approaches were applied. Results. The preference of the discursive model of linguoculture is asserted when comparing it with the textual model of linguoculture. The prerequisites for choosing the basis for delimitation of linguoculture are characterized. It is proved that linguo-axiological delimitation of a language and culture entity results from the presentation of evaluative oppositions or evaluative quasi-oppositions and is consistent with Niels Bohr's principle of complementarity. The critical subtype of linguo-axiological delimitation of a language and culture entity is substantiated. Research implications. The full heuristic consistency of the discursive model of linguoculture is revealed. The obvious relevance of the limological approach to the study of both text / discourse and a cultural-linguistic community is shown. The partial linguistic support for civic and patriotic education and the development of information and media literacy in the training of future teachers of foreign languages is carried out.
