The 14th European Congress of Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH), held in Hamburg from 29 September to 2 October 2025, marked a significant moment for the European and global health community. Organized by the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine in collaboration with the Federation of European Societies for Tropical Medicine and International Health (FESTMIH) and the German Society for Tropical Medicine, Travel Medicine and Global Health (DTG), the Congress brought together approximately 1300 participants from 84 countries, one third of whom came from outside Europe. Under the overarching theme 'Better health for all in a changing world', the meeting provided a platform to reflect on urgent global health challenges and to translate scientific dialogue into policy-oriented calls to action.
