Libraries are undergoing rapid change due to the growth of digital information and modern technology. Traditional library administration involved manual work such as cataloguing, circulation, record keeping, and reference services. Today, users expect fast, accurate, and personalized services from libraries. Artificial Intelligence has emerged as an important technology that can support library administration by automating routine tasks, improving efficiency, and enhancing user services. This paper discusses the concept of Artificial Intelligence and examines its applications in library administration. It explains how AI is used in cataloguing, circulation, reference services, collection development, and library management. The study is based on secondary data collected from books, journals, research articles, and online sources. The paper also highlights the benefits and challenges of using AI in libraries. It concludes that AI can significantly improve library administration if implemented carefully with proper training and ethical considerations.
