The article is devoted to the features and methods of teaching English to primary school students. The authors highlight specific features that the teacher should pay attention to and substantiate the importance of an individual approach to each school student. The growing importance of English as an international language of communication, science, technology, and intercultural interaction has significantly increased the demand for effective foreign language education worldwide. In Uzbekistan, the teaching of English has become one of the priority directions of educational reform. In recent years, substantial efforts have been undertaken by the government to modernize foreign language instruction, improve teacher qualifications, introduce innovative pedagogical technologies, and strengthen English language education beginning from the earliest stages of schooling.
