In 2025, the BSAVA remained focused on one thing: making sure the voice, expertise and lived realities of people working in small animal practice are heard and reflected in the decisions that shape the sector. It was an exceptionally busy year as we engaged with a diverse range of stakeholders across Government, regulators and partner organizations to help deliver outcomes that support veterinary professionals, animal welfare and public health. This summary highlights key areas of activity from 2025 and into the early part of 2026, showing how we are listening to the profession, working in partnership, and turning insight into practical influence.
