Fungal infections represent one of the most common skin diseases which affect people throughout the world and create severe problems for their ability to live normally. The standard topical antifungal medications which include creams and ointments show various restrictions which include their inability to penetrate skin effectively and their low drug absorption and their decreased treatment effectiveness. Terbinafine functions as a powerful antifungal drug which belongs to the allylamine class and medical professionals use it to treat Dermatophytes infections; however, its delivery through skin surfaces proves difficult because of its lipophilic properties. The research community has studied advanced drug delivery systems which attempt to solve existing limitations. Cubosomes function as lipid carriers which possess nano-scale structures made from amphiphilic lipids and their bi continuous cubic structure enable them. The drug stability and skin penetration abilities of the produce to attain regulated drug release and a high drug loading capacity to improve through this process.
