Anatol Kontush

Anatol Kontush is Research Director at the Research Unit 1166 ICAN of the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) at the Sorbonne University and Pitié-Salpétrière Hospital in Paris, France. He holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Hamburg (1996) and an HDR from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie (2002). His research focuses on mechanisms of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease with emphasis on the protective roles of high-density lipoprotein (HDL).
