Indian spiritual traditions constitute one of the most comprehensive and continuous spiritual heritages in human history. Rooted in experiential wisdom, ethical living, and the pursuit of self-realization, these traditions emphasize inner transformation rather than dogmatic belief. From the Vedic and Upanishadic vision to Buddhist, Jain, Bhakti, Yoga, and Sufi traditions, Indian spirituality reflects pluralism, inclusivity, and practical discipline. This paper critically examines Indian spiritual traditions within the framework of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). It analyzes philosophical foundations, historical evolution, core spiritual practices, and contemporary relevance. The study argues that Indian spiritual traditions offer enduring insights for holistic well-being, ethical life, and global harmony in an increasingly fragmented modern world.
