Is early LVEF improvement after TAVR associated with reduced 5-year mortality in patients with severe aortic stenosis and LVEF <50%?
Early LVEF recovery within 1 month post-TAVR serves as a positive prognostic marker for long-term survival in patients with severe aortic stenosis and baseline left ventricular dysfunction.
In patients with severe aortic stenosis and LVEF less than 50%, 1 in 3 experience LVEF improvement within 1 month after TAVR. Early LVEF improvement is associated with lower 5-year all-cause and cardiac death.
