The article examines the features of the use of legal design technologies in modern rule-making in order to ensure the implementation of the main forms of direct democracy and the involvement of civil society institutions in the process of making and executing public decisions. In the course of the research, the author proposed new approaches to the definition of the concept of legal design, its methodology and forms of reflection in regulatory legal acts. In order to ensure a high level of legal understanding and enforcement, to increase the legal awareness and legal culture of citizens, it is proposed to use legal design technologies in the construction of municipal legal acts regulating the main forms of participation of institutions in public administration.
