The main aim of this study is to present an offline/online software for simulation of structures via the Finite Element Method. This paper presents the characteristics of the implementation that was done in Python. Such application will serve as a basis for teaching structural analysis at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. A user's guide is also prepared for the software, which includes the theory of calculations and the input and output characteristics of the application. The reason for adopting the Finite Element Method, in particular, is that it is one of the most widespread methods of structural analysis in academia. Therefore, the study of this numerical tool is essential for learning structural analysis applied to engineering. After implementing the computational tool, its results were compared with traditional structural analysis tools like FTOOL® and ANSYS®. The results of the FINITO platform were similar to the results found in the classic software cited above, showing that the tool is already suitable for use.
